Vesta, the roman goddess of home, harmonizes domestic spaces through a Family Command Center. The deity brings family this instrument to grant order and a better communication.
PROBLEM
Vesta rises because of a lack of organization in the space assigned to leave important notes, reminders and grocery lists. Taking the concept of "Family Commad Center", a place in the house where families communicate and agree on important issues, the available area is analized as well as the most commonly used objects to start designing the product.
PRODUCT SKETCH
The layout for the different types of objects that could be storaged in the product is explored. These objects are used daily, however they do not have a specific place at home.
The formal setting is a result of investigation with families and the need to optimize the available material in order to make all elements fit in the product.
EARLY PROTOTYPE
Prototype in cardboard made to test measures and the layout of the diverse components, as well as the possible processes to build the product.
COLOR VARIATIONS
MATERIALS AND PROCESSES
Vesta is made with cold-rolled steel, which goes through many processes like: cut, bent, rolling, welding and electrostatic paint for finishing.
